Let the Past Stay in the Past

As Human Beings We Can Have A
Tendency To Dwell On The Past.

Never (1)

We think about how we could have done things better or changed our actions to bring about a different result. I have been sitting around so many times picturing a conversation that has already happened and coming up with other, more brilliant things to have said. And to what end? This obsessive dwelling on the past is not helping anyone.

We cannot go back and change our actions; we can only look to the future and focus on real actions that could change our lives for the better.

Sometimes people stay focused on the past because they think it will define their future. They believe that whatever choices they made in the past have set them on one particular path that they cannot change. This is absolutely not the case! We must all stay optimistic about what the future holds, for we can always change our circumstance in some way.

As Buddha once said, “No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.” All you need is a little encouragement and a positive outlook, focusing not on the past but rather the future and all of the possibilities that it holds.

There are so many people who have gone on from humble beginning to achieve great things. They never let their past define who they were going to become in their future. It is important to maintain a positive attitude because you can never be sure where your past will lead you.

The past can certainly be helpful to you in some cases, but it never has to be something that closes doors for you. As long as you stay positive and work hard, you can always find a way to bring about the future you would like to have, no matter what you have done in the past.

Failure is not Final

We Have All Failed At Something Before.

2013vinod-19056

Whether it has been a small or big failure, it is never a pleasant feeling to realize that you have not succeeded at something. However, failure is not final.

Just because you do not accomplish a task the first time does not mean that you will never find success in that area. You simply have not accomplished it yet, but given another opportunity you might be able to achieve what you set out to do. Failure is something to learn from; it is simply a stepping-stone to move you onto your path of success. Even if you fail at something, you have learned from that attempt, allowing you to take what you have learned and apply it to your next try. The important thing is not to give up.

Even famous people who we see today as being geniuses whose every discovery came easily to them failed at some point. Thomas Edison famously tried thousands of time before he was able to make the light bulb work. When asked about this failure, he would simply tell people that he had come up with thousands of not to make a light bulb. He kept trying and eventually was successful in creating the light bulb and is now remembered throughout all of history for this achievement. He believed in what he was doing and knew that eventually he could be successful.

Later on, Edison remarked, “Many of life’s failures are experienced by people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” He truly believed, as do I, that you should never give up trying to achieve your goal. You never know how close you are to accomplishing what you set out to do, and if you give up once you hit a roadblock you will never know. All you need is some positivity and a change of outlook in order to continue pursuing your end goal. Always remember, if at first you don’t succeed, try try again!

Finding Passion in Discontentment

It Can Be Easy To Find Yourself Discouraged When You Are Faced With Dissatisfaction In Your Life.

passion

You might find yourself discontented with something going on in your life and be tempted to simply give up on it or continue on in the same manner, unhappy with the world around you. I promise, this is not the only solution to discontentment.

Passion can almost always be birthed out of dissatisfaction in your current state. Let discontentment be an indication for the need for change. Whenever you feel disgruntled in your life, take time and examine exactly what it is that is causing you to feel that way. Analyze the situation, and decide if there is anything that you can do to improve the situation. You just might find that working on the situation leads you to realize that you are passionate about making change.

Nelson Mandela once said, “There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.” He was a proponent of people not settling for just whatever they were given, but wanted everyone to step up and take action. I think this is absolutely true and relevant to every person. When you find yourself discontented, do something about it. Let it fuel your passion, inspire you to make a change, and head towards success.

We should never simply accept discontentment in our lives, nor should we let it be a reason to give up. Instead we should view it as something transformative. It could lead us on a path to something new and exciting that we could never have even imagined before. In order to do this we need to be ready to take action and seek change when something is not going the way we would like in our lives. A new outlook can do wonders to improve a situation, and if we start seeing discontentment as the first step to positive experiences in our lives, we can change our own circumstances with greater ease and optimism.

The First Step to Success

If You’ve Ever Found Yourself Wondering
Whether Or Not You Should Take A Chance,
Stop Wondering And Start!

Untitled design (3)

In order to be successful in something, you first have to start doing it. There is a saying that goes, “You miss every shot that you don’t take.” When you don’t act, nothing ever happens to you. Fate is not going to come along and accomplish everything for you; you need to take action. You must take that first step, try something new, and then work towards your success.

It is natural to be afraid of something new and not want to begin it, but you cannot let that fear paralyze you. “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.” Everyone has experienced nerves before they started something. They were jumping into the unknown, which can be terrifying! However, this is not a good enough reason to keep yourself from trying something for the first time. Everyone does things for the first time constantly throughout their lives. It could be something small, like thinking about learning a foreign language, or it could be something much bigger, like starting your own company. Whatever it might be that you are thinking about doing for the first time, you need to take the first step towards your goal in order to achieve it.

Pablo Picasso once said, “Action is the foundational key to all success.” You cannot persevere, much less succeed, if you never try. We all want to have success in the things that we do; it’s human to want that. In order to become good at something, we need to start doing it. Even if it seems difficult, we must persevere, because in the end it will be worth it. New experiences always bring some form of reward, for they teach us about ourselves if nothing else. We get to learn and grow in new and exciting ways when we begin something new. It is exciting to find out new things about ourselves, but in order to do this we must first step away from what is familiar and take the first step down a new path. Already you will be on your way to success, just for overcoming the fear and challenges that come with beginning something new.
